Master the Top 10 Essential RO DBT Skills for Your Practice
A practical, intensive workshop designed for mental health professionals and dietitians ready to integrate Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy into their work.
Transform Your Practice with Essential RO DBT
Gain Confidence:
Keeping the group limited to 8-10 RDs is intentional - so we can take time to practice together, share experiences and work on building your confidence in bringing these skills into session.
Address Specific Challenges:
Rigid food rules, low self esteem, cautious and rule governed behavior, drop-outs, perfectionism…sound familiar? Eating disorders are complex in nature, especially when the individual is overcontrolled. We address specific scenarios and challenges that dietitians can face with clients and how RO can help.
Evidence-Based Practice:
RO is an evidence-based treatment targeting disorders characterized by excessive self-control, or disorders of overcontrol including which is commonly seen in eating disorders such as anorexia. RO DBT is the only evidence-based treatment for adult anorexia nervosa and has been informed by 20 years of clinical and experimental research.
Direct Application:
We’ve narrowed down the RO DBT skills to those that we believe dietitians can use in their individual sessions right away. Each week we facilitate open discussions on the use of a skill so you can feel comfortable using them!
Expert Instruction:
Kayla is the first dietitian to pursue and be accepted as an RO DBT Scholar. She is also a certified eating disorder specialist and consultant with over a decade of experience in the field! She is passionate about helping her peers learn and utilize this modality!
Earn CEUs:
Did you know that the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics recommends additional continuing ed towards use and understanding of interprofessional therapeutic modalities for ED RDs?

Hear from past skills class participants:
This was the first course I've taken that wasn't a generic, free CEU webinar and wow did you guys set the bar high. I've already shared this with clinicians in our field already because I've found the skills so, so useful for clients (and myself). Right away I found myself integrating them into my sessions and often reflect back to what examples were shared in class to guide me in practice.

I learned so much in the class. You guys made the learning experience easy, accessible and fun.

This class showed me how much I have to learn about myself and how to break it up in digestible ways. No pun intended :) But really, I loved the piece on self enquiry which has really promoted me to be more curious about my thoughts.
